Out past the roads, along desert washes and open land, waste builds up over time.
Not just from those living there—but from what gets dumped into their space.
We listened first.
The people living out here don’t want to live in it. But they’re left dealing with it—without any system to remove waste.
So it gets burned.
Buried.
Or left behind.
And that doesn’t make it go away.
Every household produces waste.
The difference is—most of us have a system to take it away.
Out here, there isn’t one.
Now imagine your home… with no trash service.
So we showed up.
Not to judge. To help.

We work with small groups—2 to 3 individuals at a time.
People who are willing to improve their environment.
We don’t force anything.
We don’t overwhelm.
We work side by side.
Cleaning. Talking. Building trust.

Without support, waste gets burned, buried, or left behind.
With consistency, something changes.
People participate.
Areas improve.
Responsibility grows.
$200 = 1 outreach visit
$400 = 1 week
$3,200 = 1 full cycle
$7,000 = 2 active sites for 8 weeks
Desert Guardians Outreach is not a housing program.
It is a starting point.
We meet people where they are—helping them regain control of their environment, build consistency, and become comfortable with support.
Through small, trust-based engagement, individuals begin to:
This process prepares them for something many struggle with—entering structured programs.
When the time comes, they are more ready to engage with:
We don’t force that step.
We support it.

Desert Guardians Outreach – Impact
Through our Desert Guardians Outreach program, we are actively restoring impacted desert areas while supporting individuals living within them.
To date, we have completed 5 of 16 outreach visits, removing approximately 7,900 pounds of waste from sensitive environments near watershed and aquifer zones.
Our efforts are led by a core team of 3, with support from 12 additional participants, reflecting growing community involvement.
We have also provided essential aid to 40 individuals, including food, water, ice, hygiene, and sanitary supplies — while encouraging participation in cleanup and stewardship.
In addition, we’ve supported animal care with 140 pounds of dog food and 3 deworming treatments.
This work represents a dual commitment to environmental protection and human support — building trust, restoring land, and creating pathways toward long-term stewardship.
